God’s Go-Togethers

Sam Allberry

We find many go-togethers in our world, things like shoes and socks, buckets and shovels, hot dogs and mustard. God also created many go-togethers to make our world work just as it does - light and dark, land and sea, male and female. Join Ethan and Lila on a beach day adventure where they discover the beauty of God’s design.

Question 1 - What are some go-togethers that you enjoy?

Discussion Guide - Discuss things that your child uses or enjoys that go together, things such as shoes and socks, basketball and hoop, bathing suit and pool, etc.

Question 2 - Read Genesis 2:18-25 and ask, “What truth does this passage reveal about another go-together God created?”

Discussion Guide - Discuss how God designed men and women for one another. In marriage, one man marries one woman and together they can start a family.

Bonus Question 1 - If your child has gone through Foundation God’s Good Design Curriculum, ask, “Why is it that we can trust God’s plan for us as male or female is good?”

Discussion Guide - Review the truths from Unit 1, Lesson 5 (designers understand their design best) and Unit 2, Lesson 1 (God is good, therefore, His design is good).

Bonus Question 2 - If your child has gone through Foundation God’s Good Design Curriculum, ask, “Why is it that sometimes humans do not like the idea of being male or female?”

Discussion Guide - Review the truths from Unit 2, Lesson 2 (because of sin, feelings can trick us) and Unit 3, Lesson 9 (because of sin, we often reject or ignore God’s good design).
