Empty! Celebrating the Risen Savior

Joshua Cooley

Children Ages 4-7

There are a lot of things in life you never want to find empty…the cookie jar, the piggy bank, your pet snake’s tank! But other things are good to find empty…the trash, the sink, the laundry basket. And there is one “empty” that is above all other “empties”...Jesus’s tomb!

Questions Just for Fun

What is your least favorite thing to find empty?

Questions to Think Critically and Biblically

Why is Jesus’ tomb the best “empty” that there is?
Discussion Guide - Read 1 Corinthians 15:17-22. Discuss how Jesus’s resurrection proved that Jesus is God and He died for our sins. Because Jesus was raised to new life, those who have trusted in Him will one day be raised to new life.

Bonus Question - If you have taken your child through Foundation Biblical Worldview Curriculum, ask, “Why did Jesus need to die in our place?”
Discussion Guide - Review the truths covered in Unit 4, Lessons 4 and 5. Read through the Scripture passages covered and the games played to solidify the truths that humans miss the mark and Jesus hit the mark for us.
